A tribute to the scenic genre by antonomasia in the history of the Scenic Arts, the one that combines theatre, ballet, text and music in just one scenario: the Opera and its "younger sister" but not less important the Operetta. Coinciding with the bicentenary of Offenbach’s and Von Suppé’s operas, and taking advantage of the setting where the concert takes place, a careful selection of the most relevant duets, arias and intermezzos of the opera genre are recreated beyond the stage itself. The scenic nature of any opera gets a polyhedral dimension with the participation of a chorus of adults, children and the soloists.
PART I: Light Cavalry (Suppé); Caballeria Rusticana (Mascagni); Duo lakme (Delibes); Intermezzo, closed-mouth chorus, aria Un bel di vedremo from Madame Butterfly (Puccini).
PART II: Orpheus in the underworld. Overture and Can-Can (Offenbach); Duo Barcarola from Tales of Hoffmann (Offenbach); Aria Semper Libera from La Traviata (Verdi); Toast of La Traviata (Verdi)
