synopsis

“A new path towards excellence” Manuel Martin Martin, El Mundo- Sevilla

Catedral (in Juan Dolores Caballero’s words) is, “a liturgy about a woman’s pain and release”. The sacred liturgy of Patricia Guerrero’s dance invites the audience to reflect on the role that religion has in female oppresion

This performance embodies mysticism, repression, the sacred and the secular, all channeled through dance, bells, singing, lights and guitar.

This piece has been awarded the “Giraldillo” - Best Show in the Flamenco Bienal of Sevilla 2016.
