In 2017, to celebrate Saint John’s Eve, one hundred people participated in an itinerant performance based on the myth of Don Juan. The journey started at the Corral de Comedias and consisted on following Don Juan in his bets, conquests and abdications through the whole night.
For nine hours, the audience visited unexpected places of Alcalá in a unique coven in the name of time, the bodies and the image of Don Juan, hoisting the motto “Everything is possible”.
Classics in Alcalá asked the company [los numeros imaginarios] to create this experience. They specialize in creating immersive theatre based on classic texts and along with BELLA BATALLA they created this event crossing the city of Alcalá de Henares in a- once-in-a-lifetime Saint John’s Eve.
In the 2018 edition, we will screen the documentary of what happened that night and after that, there will be an Electronic Music session by the Don Juan team to purify the soul and body.
Happy Don Juan 2018 night!
